FJ Camper

Our latest project that turns our (new to us) FJ Cruiser into the perfect overnight and weekend camper. 13.2 gallons of available, pressurized fresh water. Over 1500 watts of AC power. 200 watts of solar. Consider this to be a prototype of a product to be available in the future. We have a few vids describing the design concept here.

- Industrial-grade aluminum extrusion framing with hidden connectors

100W solar panels inside the roof rails allow long items (like a paddle board) to be strapped down using the roof rail load stops.

6" PVC pipe water tank. Fill on one end, air valve and drain on the other.

RTT and light pods. RTT was shifted back 4" from this position.

Roof rail and tower test. Tower will get matte black powder coat.

6" PVC pipe water tank on the rig. Next step is to test it with some water and air pressure.

New light bar drop brackets are done and the light bar is on...no buffeting!

Open drawers...fully extended. Both are on 28" lock-in/lock-out slides. Laminated 3/4" Baltic birch drawer fronts. 

Side panel test fit. This gets a night light, two exterior light switches, and a AC/USB combo outlet. Back side is the electrical panel.
